Bloom Where You’re Meant to Be

There’s an old saying that’s been on my mind lately: If a plant isn’t thriving in its environment, move it. Simple, right? But the more I think about it, the more I realize how deeply it applies to life—and to the creative process.

For so long, I’ve felt rooted in survival mode, tangled in the expectations of others, seeking approval, and just trying to keep things together. I was like a plant stuck in the wrong soil, surviving but not thriving. My creative spirit—my art—felt stifled, waiting for the right moment to bloom.

Then something shifted. A new environment, a new chapter, a new perspective. I started to see the importance of letting go of old surroundings, not just physically but emotionally and mentally, too. Moving doesn’t always mean packing up and going somewhere new. Sometimes, it’s about moving internally—shifting your mindset, shedding old expectations, and finding the space to grow.

As an artist, I’ve learned that creativity, much like a flower, needs the right conditions to flourish. It requires light, nourishment, and freedom to stretch toward something bigger.
